In humid places a struggling air conditioner announces itself early. The house turns sticky long before the thermostat reading is far off. Chubbuck does not work that way. Do you find refrigerant leaks or just top the system up?
We find them. Pouring refrigerant into a leaking system and driving off is not a repair. On newer equipment the fix is usually manageable. On an older system the conversation is harder, because that refrigerant type has gotten steadily more expensive to source and a large charge into equipment near the end of its life is money on borrowed time.
